Yes, folks. Despite the fact that we have not yet reached the 11th month of the year, the competition for the most avid, shameless arselicker has been so strong that it is time to declare the winner for 2021.
I bet you are all thinking that it is bound to be the usual suspects with gleaming certificates to confirm the fact that they simply love sniffing and licking the anuses of our politicians: odious individuals and past winners like Gregoire, Dulthaidiot, SAJ's slave Soodhun, some insignificant numpty in Moka called Soonarane who compared Pravind Jugnauth to Jesus Christ, and many other pretenders from ALL communities to the throne reserved for people with extra long tongues and no morals whatsoever. You would be wrong.
It is not even the latest idiot who believes that being the President of something called the Sanatan Dharma Temples Federation somehow makes him the leader of all Hindus, and someone who all Hindus must therefore venerate and idolise. Bhojraj Ghoobin is another unfortunate soul who probably does not understand that the meaning of Dharma in Hinduism is "righteousness", and that it governs the religious and moral duties regarding our conduct. Anointing someone as your " le roi" when you yourself are nothing but an intellectual and moral numbskull is a sure sign that this man does not know what Dharma is....
Therefore, one can quite understand why an ignoramus like him would want to do the impossible and make someone King in a republic....But then, arseholes like him simply do not understand what a republic or a democracy is. To them, and to an unfortunately increasing number of Mauritians, a democracy is a system of government that rewards people on the basis of the length of their tongues and on the absence of any principles and self respect.

No, the winner, or should I say winners, this year is the little army of trolls who have polluted the internet with bad grammar, awful sentence construction, a dogged obsession with the CAPS LOCK that they will insist on using in the vain hope that the garbage they spew will suddenly cover itself with a rare intellectualism, the mastery of 2 or 3 simplistic phrases which inevitably contain these words (badly spelt...) " Pravind ze best", "cotomili", "koffor", "anti patriot" or "patriot". They manifest themselves usually in the comments sections of radio interviews of some opposition politician, and have still not learnt that constant repetition of the slogan that MT and Darling Sherry have force fed them makes them look even more stupid that they really are.
