[Paul Lismore] OUR BEAUTIFUL ISLAND HAS BECOME A PLAYGROUND FOR THUGS TO DO THEIR BEST TO MAKE OUR LIVES A MISERY, IN THE FULL KNOWLEDGE THAT SOME ARROGANT AND QUITE USELESS MAGISTRATE WILL RELEASE HIM ON BAIL SOON AFTER ARREST...

Almost every day there is a murder. Every day someone gets badly assaulted mugged, beaten up, or harassed by some bullying psychopath. Drugs are everywhere, and only idiots would say that the situation is not alarmante, because eh! look at the number of drugs we have confiscated.... Men (women hardly ever do this) use their cars as toys (when they have stopped playing with their dicks...) and kill or badly maim mostly pedestrians and cyclists, and also other drivers. A culture of some people doing whatever they want has rapidly become the norm.
The rule of biceps, triceps, and fucking six packs has taken over the land, and good manners and basic decency have gone on a long holiday.

What is the priority of Super Mario and all previous ex commissioners? Bizin ekut premier ministre, saluer ban plok ministres, fer sire ki tou traffic areter kan sa ban ggt la p voyazer, met la police divan la porte sak ministre et dibouter kouma ene marionette ki in perdi so strings.

And just in case the Seychelles or some other super power invades Mauritius, make sure that the 1000+ SMF soldiers are well fed and do their press ups every day. WHAT????? Why not put them on duty in all the crime hot spots?

I'll tell you why. Because the oik politician who 'represents' those constituencies will ring the police and say the magic words regarding the violent criminals, " Mo dimoune sa. Ene bon piti sa! Laisse li."

Everything has been placed under political control. Even people blessed with the immunity (full or assumed) of their constitutional powers somehow cannot stop their tongues from seeking the orifices of whichever idiot happens to be in power.

So, let us not be too quick to blame the junior police officers. It is the senior ones who act like dummies to the politicians and who then pass the orders on to the juniors. Blame the politicians and the senior police officers.

Super Mario? He simply does not have a clue. He has the typical mentality of the over promoted who feels his loyalty is only to the chap who promoted him and not to the people he is required BY LAW to serve...i.e. the taxpayers who pay him so handsomely for next to fuck all in return.

One should never blame the foot soldiers. Every disciplined force acts on orders. So does our police force. It is those at the top who are wholly responsible for the terrible desecration of our forces of law and order.

I feel sorry for the constables especially, and the sergeants, and the inspectors/chief inspectors too....they are victims to the whims and caprices of their seniors. And when they do arrest some vile bastards for battering their wives repeatedly, for various thefts (often with violence), for drink driving resulting in the death of some poor innocent chap, etc, what happens?

The Yuman Rites of these psychopaths take precedence over our safety and desire to live in peace, and our lovely magistrates, egged on by the worst, most corrupt, thieving zavokas on the planet, will release them on bail....and if they are found guilty after a few more years of causing mayhem and destruction, the same beautiful magistrates will make them clean some garden or give them an insultingly short sentence.

The victims? Who gives a fuck about them in our etat de droit ?

I have said it on numerous occasions, and so have others: as long as our politicians continue to behave as if OUR police force is theirs to do as they wish, and as long as we have dummy police commissioners who do not understand the independence that our Constitution guarantees them, our law and order situation will continue to deteriorate.

Do the politicians care? Of course not.

SAJ has had a police officer (at least one) with him since 1976 when he was leader of the opposition.

Ramgoolam has had at least one for decades now.

Berenger used to have an army of tapeurs around him until he too realised the delights of VIPSU and will not be seen without one.

Zaza has had at least one police officer with him since 2005.

All the ex Presidents and ex Vice Presidents have at least one police officer permanently attached to them, until death mercifully takes them away and releases at least one police officer to serve us for a change. Even an idiot like the Ayatollah used to have several officers with him everywhere he went (although in his case, it is perfectly understandable, because you too would need protection if you walk around with a face like that...).

Roshi Bhadain was a junior minister and yet he too felt entitled because ministers in Mauritius all love the smell of their own shit, and received a VIPSU escort wherever he went, including a police guard outside his house...24 ministers, many of them so useless that no one could possibly recognise them, have a police officer permanently attached to them.

Why? The serviteurs du peuple need protection from Lepep? Such a delicious irony, which obviously escapes the tiny brains of those servi nou pays...

The Mauritian people have tolerated the incompetence, corruption, greed, venality, and blatant thieving by all governments since independence. A brave and tolerant nation has had to continually put up with the nastiest dregs of society masquerading themselves as decent, respectable people worthy of our votes.

In the meantime, a whole nation is crying out desperately for real proposals and real solutions to the very real problems that we face. And the Law and Order situation has to be given the priority that is felt by all of us.

The sad truth is we are a nation of dormant lions that has allowed itself to be led by donkeys for far too long.
